CyrusOne Gets EU Data Protection Certification

Dallas-based data center operator CyrusOne has received a voluntary certification for complying with international data privacy guidelines, the firm said this week. CyrusOne said it completed the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework certification process from the United States Department of Commerce, which ensures the company complies with strict European Union data privacy guidelines. Those guidelines were set up to ensure that data transferred to the United States also meet the strict EU privacy rules.
