RadioShack Expands Into College Bookstores, Starting At The Co-Op

Fort Worth-based electronics retailer RadioShack is expanding its footprint into college bookstores, starting with the Co-op at UT Austin. According to RadioShack, it has launched its very first, college bookstore location at the Co-op, which will feature consumer electronic products and brands in a "store within a store". The new RadioShack space at the Co-op includes a 12-foot section of wall on the first floor. RadioShack says it is planning to open at additional college bookstores throughout the fall, part of a deal with the National Association of College Stores. RadioShack said it is using the college bookstore program to help expand through non-traditional channels.
