Caringo Updates Cloud Storage Product

Austin-based object storage software developer Caringo said today that it has released an updated version of the company's CloudScaler enterprise gateway. According to Caringo, the updated software adds Amazon S3 API support, better control, authentication, and metering, as well as other features. Caringo's software is aimed at enterprises and service providers, to help them run their own cloud storage services. Caringo's software is aimed at enterprises who want the flexibility of cloud storage like Amazon S3, but need to keep their storage behind their own firewall, to ensure performance, security, and control of their data.
