Austin Tech Industry Gets Direct Link With London Via British Airways

In a move which will help further link Austin with the international technology community, British Airways has announced a direct flight from London to Austin, starting in March of 2014. British Airways says it plans to start with five flights a week, to daily flights in May using the new Boein 787 Dreamliner. British Airways is offering promotional flight prices on the route. The company is targeting both business and leisure customers with the flight. London, like Austin, is a growing technology center, with a new effort called the London "Tech City" attracting both local startups as well as the outposts of many American high tech companies.
