British Airways Links Austin, London

In a move which may help bolster the high tech links between Austin and the United Kingdom, British Airways said today that it has launched regular, transatlantic nonstop service between Austin and London. British Airways said its first flight into Austin is today. The airline said the flight will be the first, regular, transatlantic nonstop service for Austin. British Airways will be using the 787 Dreamliner for the route. British Airlines also has been serving Houston and Dllas-Forth Worth. Although there have not been many a huge number of cross-atlantic deals, London has been in the midst of an effort to promote its high tech industry, billing itself Tech City. There hasn't been a lot of cross-Atlantic business deals for Austin to date, however, Austin's Spredfast recently opened an office in the UK.
