Cirrus Logic Buys Audio Signal Processing Technology Provider

Austin-based Cirrus Logic, the developer of analog and mixed signal integrated circuits, said Tuesday afternoon that it has acquired Acoustic Technologies, a developer of embedded firmware voice processing technology. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Acoustic Technologies develops audio processing software for noise reduction, echo cancelation and voice enhancement. As part of the acquisition, Cirrus Logic has hired approximately 30 employees from Acoustic Technologies.
