Freescale Gets Design Win At ZTE

Austin-based semiconductor provider Freescale reported a design win today with ZTE, saying that its QorIQ Qonverge BSC9132 chips are being to power a new, femtocell product from ZTE. Shipment volumes for the new products were not disclosed. Freescale said its "base station-on-a-chip" will be used to power ZTE's LTE femtocell products, which are expected to be deployed later this year in China, Japan, and other markets.
