Dell Expands Entrepreneurship Center To UK

Round ROck-based Dell said this week it is ramping up its efforts to reach entrepreneurs, and has expanded its Center for Entrepreneurs in the U.K. The program--which has been running in the United States--includes a $115M debt capital fund, the Dell Innovators Credit Fund, which provides capital financing for U.S. and U.K.-based venture and angel backed startups; an effort called the Dell Founders Club, aimed at entrepreneurs of recently funded companies; as well as an online pitch contest which gives startups the opportunity to pitch their companies to Michael Dell. Dell said it has opened up a new, U.K. Centre for Entrepreneurs, and plans to open up similar effort in Ireland later this year, with additional markets opening up through 2014.
