NewComLink Snags Marketing Head From PayPal

Austin-based NewComLink, the financial technology startup backed by Austin Ventures and StarVest Partners, has appointed a new head of its marketing efforts. According to NewComLink, it has appointed Doug Filak--the former Head of Marketing for PayPal in North America--as Chief Marketing Officer. Filak had previously served at Bill Me Later, before it was purchased by PayPal in 2008, and he also had served at JP Morgan Chase, American Express, and Citibank.
