Dell Inks Deal With MakerBot

Round Rock-based Dell is getting into the sexy, 3D printing space and will start carrying 3D printers from Makerbot, the two said Monday. According to Dell, it will offer up MakerBot's Replicator 3D printers and scanners to its customers, allowing them to purchase the sexy 3D printers alongside its own workstations and other products. Dell carries a wide range of non-Dell hardware and software. Makerbot's 3D printers allow users to create 3D objects out of ABS plastic and other materials directly uses 3D CAD designs.
