Virtuix Raises $3M for Virtual Reality Treadmill

Houston-based Virtuix, a developer of a treadmill designed to work with virtual reality goggles--allowing users to walk, run, and jump while in their virtual worlds--has raised $3M in a seed funding round. The company said the funding came from Tekton Ventures and Maveron, along with Scentan Ventures, Radical Investments, Scout Ventures, StartCaps Ventures, and others. Virtuix said the new funding will go towards expansion and production of its virtual reality treadmill. Virtuix is led by Jan Goetgeluk. More information »
