Sparefoot Launches Disaster Relief Fund

Austin-based self storage marketplace SpareFoot has a reputation and track record of responding to disasters over the years with help to residents--and is now looking to get others in the industry involved. According to SpareFoot, it has launched a new effort called the SpareFoot Storage Industry Disaster Relief Fund, to help victims of the recent outbreak of tornadoes in the South and Midwest--as well as for future disasters. SpareFoot is not a stranger to lending a hand after disasters--the company has regularly donated self storage space to disasters, having chipped in during the Colorado floods last year; the West, Texas disaster; and last year's Oklahoma twisters. Sparefoot said all funds raised in the fund will go to the American Red Cross.
