TrackingPoint Gets $29M For High Tech, Smart Rifles

Austin-based TrackingPoint, a developer of smart, networked, precision rifles, has raised $29M in a funding round, the company disclosed today. The funding came from Genesis Inventions and McHale Labs. TrackignPoint's rifles include smartphone-connected, tracking scopes which help a shooter track and tag a target, calculate ballistics, and which even connect to a user's smartphone via an app--streaming real time video from the scope.
