Mahana Aims At Hotels, Casinos With iBeacon

Austin-based startup Mahana said today that it has launched its product, which uses Apple's iBeacon to help hotel and casino operators identify and serve their guests. Are you a coveted casino high roller? Mahana said that its technology helps hotel and casino managers identify the best guests--letting staff see a guest's photo , name, notes, and preferences on a concierge's tablet, smartwatches, and front desk computers, as guests approach. Mahana said its technology works by including libraries in a property's existing mobile apps for iOS and Android. The startup is led by startup veteran Bryan Menell.
