Report: Rackspace Eyes Private Option

San Antonio-based Rackspace may be considering going private, as possible acquisition plans apparently have cooled, and is not finding many potential strategic buyers of the company. The company--which hired Morgan Stanley to shop the firm in May--has not announced any information around the possible go-private move. The going private option was first reported in TechCrunch. Rackspace is a provider of hosting, cloud, and colocation services.
