Mozido Wins Deal In Jamaica
Austin-based mobile banking software developer Mozido has scored a win in Jamaica, to offer up its mobile wallet software with a local credit union group. According to Mozido, it has tied with the Jamaica Cooperative Credit Union League (JCCUL), to specifically develop an app to serve that nation's underbanked population. The JCCUL apparently represents 42 different credit unions which serve Jamaica. Mozido said its apps are being used as part of a stored-value account mobile wallet initiative, aimed at helping Jamaicans to pay for goods and services without a bank account. Financial impact of the deal was not announced.
