Spanning Extends To Office 365
Austin-based Spanning Cloud Apps, which develops cloud software backup and data protection software, said Thursday that it has expanded its services to Office 365. The company--which is now part of EMC--said it will provide cloud data protection for Microsoft's cloud office product, on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. Spanning said the product will be initially rolled out through a beta program, and is expected to be generally available in the first half of 2015. Pricing on the new product was not announced. The addition of Office 365 will be the third major cloud product supported by Spanning, which currently backs up Google Apps and Salesforce data. Spanning is led by Jeff Erramouspe. The company was acquired by EMC in October.
