Spanning Cloud Names HR Head

Austin-based cloud backup and data protection provider Spanning Cloud Apps says it has named a Erika Tate as its new head of its human resources efforts. According to Spanning, it named Ericka Tate as Vice President of People. Tate previously has served at Simply Hired, Google and Accenture. Spanning says Tate has more than 15 years of experience in the area, and will head up strategic and operational HR activities. Spanning provides data backup services for Google's G Suite, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office 365. The company's hire comes as it says it has been seeing growth and is actively hiring for multiple positions across engineering, sales, HR, and customer success. Spanning was spun back out of EMC last year, in a deal funded by Insight Venture Partners. More information »
