Travelocity Sold To Expedia For $280M

Southlake, Texas-based Travelocity, which is owned by Sabre, has been sold to travel site Expedia, in a deal worth $280M in cash, the two said Friday. Travelocity and Expedia had been in a strategic deal since August of 2013, where Expedia had powered all of the technology platforms behind Travelocity's existing websites. How the move will impact jobs and employment at Travelocity were not announced by the companies.
