Revionics Names New Board Member, Hinting At IPO

Austin-based Revionics said this morning that it has named Joel G. Katz to the company's board, hinting at a possible IPO effort. Katz is an investor, who has previously served at Witness Systems, Vignette, and Harbinger Corporation, where Revionics specifically said Katz helped with pre- and post-initial public offering stages. Revionics specifically pointed to Katz's financial, operational and board experiences in operating under the scrutiny of public financial markets. Revionics is led by Marc Haftner. The firm recently took a big capital infusion from Goldman Sachs.
