Famigo Unveils App Marketplace
Austin-based Famigo, the developer of kid-safe, educational mobile apps, said today that it has launched a new app "marketplace", specifically aimed at families. Famigo said its new Famigo Marketplace offers up a curated app store which offers up safe, quality apps and content with both educational an entertainment value. The new app store offers up apps sorted by age range: toddler, kid, tween, and teen, and runs on Android only. The company's marketplace currently offers up bundles in each of those categories which the company says only cost $4.99. Famigo is led by Q Beck, and is venture backed by Silverton Partners, Zilker Ventures, Liahona Ventures and Capital Factory.
