Dell, Red Hat Roll Out OpenStack Private Cloud Product

Round Rock-based Dell> and Red Hat are jumping into the Openstack, private cloud market with a production-ready version of the OpenStack private cloud software, pre-integrated with Dell's hardware and Red Hat's software. According to the two, they will deliver their co-engineered private cloud solutions to enterprises, using Dell's PowerEdge servers and Red Hat's Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 6. The two said the new product includes prescribed configurations for compute, infrastructure, networking, and multiple options for storage, and can be scaled to an organization's needs.
