Teladoc Expands In Idaho

Lewisville, Texas-based telehealth provider Teladoc said Wednesday afternoon that it has expanded its service area, and is now covering the state of Idaho. Teladoc said that the move comes as a result of the Idaho Telehealth Access Act, which was passed in April, which allows telemedicine access to allow physicians and patients to connect through two way audio/visual interaction. Teleadoc is led by Jason Gorevic, and offers up services which let patients access certified physicians via the Internet. Teladoc has been fighting the Texas Medical Board over gaining similar permission to deliver telemedicine services here in Texas.
