Dallas Cowboys Run Afoul Of FAA With Drone Use
The Dallas Cowboys have run afoul of the FAA in using drones for helping with practices, according to reports last week. The Cowboys apparently have been using drones to shoot practices of the team in rookie minicamps, to help coaches better evaluate and coach players. Apparently, the Cowboys prompted attention from the FAA when they talked about the use of drones during a press conference. The news highlights a continuing debate over the regulation and use of drone aircraft, which are affordable but still face confusing regulation--including a ban at SXSW earlier this year.
