TickerTags Rolls Out Social Monitoring Tool For Investors

Dallas-based TickerTags has launched a new, online tool to help investors track mentions and sentiment behind around 8,000 publicly traded securities, the company said Thursday. The service--founded by Chris Camillo and Jordan McLain--said it is aiming at both institutional and retail investors with its tools, which it says uses natural language processing to help monitoring and chart mentions of companies before market movements. Camillo and McLain were the founders of eCarList, which they sold to DealerTrack in 2011 for $48M. The company said it has received seed funding, and is part of startup accelerator ValueStream Development Lab.
