Rackspace Powering New Microsoft Azure Effort

San Antonio-based Rackspace is in a major deal this week with Microsoft, to bolster customer use of Microsoft's Azure cloud. According to the two, who announced a strategic alliance Monday, where Rackspace will offer up its support and customer service to help users with Azure. It's an interesting twist for Rackspace, which for a time was competing head to head against both Microsoft's Azure and Amazon AWS in the cloud computing market. Financial details of the strategic alliance have not been announced.
