Rackspace Plugs Into Microsoft Dev Tools

San Antonio-based Rackspace, a provider of web hosting and related services, said today that it has shipped a new plug-in to Microsoft's development suite, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. The firm said the the Rackspace Cloud Plug-In allows users to deploy applications written in Visual Studio, directly from that development environment. Rackspace said its plug-in provides control over rebooting and launch of servers, rebuild of server images, application backup scheduling, and more. Rackspace said the tool was built by Neudesic.
