Rackspace Bolsters Sales Team

San Antonio-based cloud hosting provider Rackspace Hosting is expanding its sales team, saying today that it has hired Todd Cione as head of the firm's Americas Acquisition Sales division. Cione was most recently at Microsoft, heading up $4 billion in annual revenue for Microsoft's software, cloud services, and enterprise services in Singapore. Rackspace said Cione will head up both direct and channel sales for the company. Cione had been at Microsoft for the past 15 years.
