Sensuron Spins Out Fiber Optic Startup From 4DSP

Austin-based Sensoron, a new startup focused on development of compact, fiber optic sensing systems for the aerospace, medical and energy industries, said this morning that it has spun off from its sister company, 4DSP. The startup, led by Michael Heflin, said it has launched two new systems as part of its spinout. The company's equipment is used to measure changes in temperature, volume, liquids and stress over surface areas. 4DSP is a developer of a wide range of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) board-level electronics for the military, aerospace, biomedical, and chemical areas, and is also based in Austin.
