Localeur Adds Charleston, Nashville To Social Travel Service
Austin-based social sharing startup Localeur said Thursday that it has expanded into Charleston, S.C., and Nashville, Tenn., bringing its total number of cities covered to 20. The startup, which is led by Joah Spearman, said it selected the two cities due to their reputations as "unique places" that attract travelers from around the world. Localeur is angel backed by such angels as Heather Brunner (WP Engine), Blake Chandlee (Facebook), Mike Murphy (Facebook), Brett Hurt (Bazaarvoice), and Steve Pamon (JPMorganChase). The company's apps help users find the best places to get a drink, find something to eat, or visit in a city. The company says it has so far raised $1.5M in angel funding for its efforts.
