GameSalad Launches New Education Program For Teachers
Austin-based game app software platform developer GameSalad is hoping to bring its tools to the classroom, with a new program aimed at teachers. According to GameSalad, it is offering up a new GameSalad for Education program, which will let educators gain access to its tools, which can be used to teach game development, programming fundamentals, and more in the classroom. The company said its program includes software, curriculum, textbooks, certifications and asset packs, and an online community for teachers. As part of the new program, GameSalad said it has hired a "principal learning architect", former Arkansas school teacher Danielle Burnett, who had been using the company's tools in her own education efforts.
