Waldo Photos Finds $5M For Photo Search Service

Austin-based Waldo Photos, a new startup developing technology and a service to find photos of users by others, and automatically deliver them to their smartphone, said it has raised $5M in a seed funding round this morning. The startup, founded by Rodney Rice and Michael Beaudoin, said the funding came from Upfront Ventures. Rice and Beaudoin are serial enterepreneurs, who founded HomeAdvisor, formerly ServiceMagic, taking it to $250M in annual revenues and 1200 employees, and selling the company to InterActive Corp.
