Eltek Debuts New Power Electronics Technology
Plano-based power electronics maker Eltek said Tuesday afternoon that it has launched what it says is a "breakthrough" power electronics product, called a "rectiverter". Eltek--whose products are widely used in the telecommunications industry for DC power supplies--said its new product combines the functions of three components, a rectifier, inverter, and static transfer switch, into a single module. The new device provides 96 percent power efficiency when powered by AC and 94 percent running from a DC supply to supply telecom, data center, and industrial equipment with power. The company said the new module supplies up to 48V, supplying 1500 VA for AC and 1200W of DC power.
