Shopgate Sets Austin As New Headquarters

Shopgate, a developer of mobile e-commerce software, has moved its headquarters to Austin, to take advantage of the proximity of other e-commerce companies in the market. The company said earlier this month that it has relocated to Austin, in part because of the presence of other companies here, such as Volution and Bigcommerce. The company--which has its international headquarers in Germany--said it plans to hire as many as 50 in Austin as part of the move. Shopgate's software helps online retailers easily implement their own, mobile stores.
