CloseWatch Gets $1.49M For Crime Reporting Software

Addison, Texas-based software startup CloseWatch, a developer of crime reporting software, has raised $1.49M in a seed funding round, according to the company. CloseWatch said the funding round came from angel investors and ECAP Holdings. CloseWatch develops mobile apps and other software which are used for submitting crime tips to law enforcement and government agencies, for crime alerts, and analytics. CloseWatch says it already has a deal with the U.S. military to help bolster anti-terrorism efforts at domestic military bases.
