CyrusOne Raises $231M In Public Offering, Buys Chicago Data Center
Dallas-based data center operator CyrusOne has priced a public offering of 6,000,000 shares of its common stock at $38.50, in a fundraising effort which will raised somewhere around $231M for the company. The publicly held company said the offering is going to finance an acquisition of a data center in Illinois from CME Group, to fund capital expenditures, pay for debt in its revolving credit facility, as well as other general uses. CyrusOne is paying $130M for a suburban, Chicago data center currently owned by CME Group. CME Group said, separately, that it has signed a 15 year lease for data center space from CyrusOne as part of the acquisition deal.
