CTAN Tops List Of Most Active Angel Groups In 2015
The Central Texas Angel Network (CTAN) has been ranked as the most active, individual angel group in the country during 2015, according to the group. According to CTAN, it invested more than $13.3M into 43 startups last year, with 20 of those new investments, and 23 follow on investments. It also saw seven exits in 2015, which nearly doubles its exit total since the group was founded in 2006. CTAN said the investments were a 30 percent increase in number of funding events over 2014. The numbers came from the HALO Report, which was issued by the The Angel Resource Institute at Willamette University (ARI). The same report said that Texas had 11.2 percent of all of the angel investment deals in the country in 2015.
