SpareFoot Adds On-Demand, Full Service Storage Providers

Austin-based SpareFoot says it has started to connect its users with full service, storage providers, an expansion of its current service to connect users with self storage facilities. Full service storage providers handle pickup of items for storage directly from users, and often also handle things like keeping an inventory of items and even smartphone apps to track your stored items. SpareFoot lets users search for Full-Service Storage separately from its core, self storage facility searches, allowing users to input in their ZIP code to see full service storage providers in their area. SpareFoot said the new service will initially roll out in about 30 markets; a quick search shows one provider in Austin (Closetbox) and two in San Francisco (Clutter and Closetbox).
