Blue Star Sports Acquires Bonzi

Dallas-based Blue Star Sports is kick starting its software development efforts, and has acquired Oregon-based sport organization software Bonzi, the company announced this morning. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Bonzi develops online software for managing sports organizations, clubs, leagues, and associations. As part of the acquisition, Blue Star Sports said it has named Bonzi founders Amy Pate as COO and Anthony Pate as CTO of the company. Blue Star Sports just launched this week with the backing of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Bain Capital Worldpay, and Providence Equity.
