OrthoAccel Finds $12M In Series C Funding
Houston-based OrthoAccel Technologies, the maker of the AcceleDent medical devices for speeding up orthodontic treatments, said Wednesday that it has raised $12M in a Series C funding round. The funding came from S3 Ventures, HealthpointCapital, and new investor Piper Jaffray Merchant Banking. The company said the funding will go towards adding 30 new employees in marketing, "innovation", operations, and clinical education, and also for expansion internationally and in North America. The company says its product is now available in more than 3,000 orthodontic locations in North America and 800 international locations. More information »
