CyrusOne Plans Big Expansion In Northern Virginia With 40 Acre Land Buy

Dallas-based data center developer b>CyrusOne is planning a big expansion in Northern Virginia, saying it has purchased 40 acres of property in the location, specifically for future expansion. CyrusOne said the purchase of the 6.7 millin square foot, mixed use development property in Northern Virginia will go towards serving its Fortune 1000 customers along the East Coast. Northern Virginia is a major location for data centers. CyrusOne says it expects the purchase and construction activities at the location will result in $1 billion invested in the county, but did not disclose the purchase price on the new parcel.
