Zyston Raises $3.7M For Information Security Consultancy
Dallas-based Zyston, a new company providing strategic information security advisory services, said today that it has raised $3.7M in a Series A funding, and launched its operations. The company, founded by Jonathan Steenland and Richard Dorough, said the funding came from such investors as Jeff Heller (form0er Vice Chairman, EDS); Rodney Rice (co-Founder & CEO, Waldo Photos), Greg Webb (Vice Chairman, Sabre), and Larry Felix (Managing Director, LRF-LLC). The company said it will help corporations implement "innovative, effective" information security programs. Steenland was the former CISO at Fujitsu, and Dorough, was formerly Senior Managing Director of PwC's Cyber Breach Response Practice, in addition to previously serving as Global CISO at Textron.
