GameStop Sees Instant Sellout Of Additional PlayStation VR Allotment

Grapevine, Texas-based videogame retailer GameStop says that it almost instantly sold out of an additional, PlayStation VR allotment on Thursday, selling out of the units in four minutes when it opened up pre-orders on Thursday. The company said it is "working closely with Sony" to attempt to get more units of the highly anticipated product, which is expected to ship in October. GameStop is selling a bundle around the Sony PlayStation VR for $399.99. GameStop had made the second allotment of PlayStation VR systems available only online. GameStop did not say how many PlayStation VR units it was able to gain in that second allotment.
