Data.world Finds $14M

Austin-based Data.world, a developer of data collaboration software, has raised $14M in a funding round, according to the company this week. The funding was led by Shasta Ventures, and also included Capital Factory, Chicago Ventures, Floodgate, FYRFLY Venture Partners, Homebrew, Lead Edge Capital, LiveOak Venture Partners and Rothenberg Ventures. Data.world is led by longtime Austin technology vet Brett Hurt.
