TheWaveVR Raises $2.5M For VR Live Music Platform

Austin- and Los Angeles-based TheWaveVR announced a $2.5M seed funding round, to develop a virtual reality experience specifically for experiencing live music and DJs. The startup, led by Adam Arrigo, said the funding came from KPCB Edge, Presence Capital Rothenberg Ventures, RRE Ventures, The VR Fund, Seedcamp, and angels such as Mike Fischer (ex-Square Enix) and Joe Kraus (ex-GV). TheWaveVR is developing a VR platform which lets users join an immersive live music environment, interacting with both the musician and other fans in a virtual space. More information »
