Everfest Acquires Fest300
Austin-based online festival information provider Everfest, which is backed by ATX Seed Ventures and Bob Kagle, the co-founder of Benchmark Capital, has acquired Fest300, the festival-focused digital magazine run by Chip Conley. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to Everfest, the buy will add an editorial voice to its community, and also help add new festival partners to its product. Conley will become the part-time Chief Strategy Officer of Everfest. Conley, the founder and editor-in-chief of Fest300, is currently Airbnb's Head of Global Hospitality and Strategy and was the founder and former CEO of Joie de Vivre Hotels. Everfest is led by Paul Cross, who was the founder and CEO of Ticketbud, and Jay Manickam, who co-founded uShip.
