Everfest Takes $1.5M For Online, Mobile Festival Discovery
Austin-based Everfest, a new start created by the founders of uShip and TicketBud, said Monday that it has raised $1.5M in an angel funding round. The funding round included ATX Seed Ventures, plus angels like Bob Kagle, along with others. The startup said it is looking to build the world's most comprehensive community of festivals and festival goers, letting users discover and share festivals--ranging from music festivals and book fairs to comiccons and other local celebrations. The startup was founded by Jay Mannickam, Paul Cross, and Brad Dixon; Manickam and Dixon were at uSchip, and Cross was at Ticketbud.
