Lifesize Targets The Huddle Room With New System

Austin-based Lifesize is targeting the "huddle room"--the small, connected conference areas which are becoming popular in workspaces, with a new product, the company said this week. Lifesize said its new Icon 450 is an HD camera and phone system, which automatically adjusts its camera to center everyone in a room, and which includes a very wide angle lens to capture everyone in what typically is a very small space. Lifesize said that the new device--which starts at $4,999--was specifically designed to address the issues with the small space of huddle rooms, which it says often make it difficult for video conferencing cameras to put everyone in the picture.
