OpenStack Expands Support With Three New Chinese Members

The OpenStack Foundation, the industry group which supports the OpenStack set of software and standards for cloud computing--and which is based in Austin--has added a number of members, including a number of significant companies based in China. According to OpenStack it added China Telecom, Inspur and ZTE as Gold Members, in addition to recent members 99cloud, China Mobile, City Network and Deutsche Telekom. All three of the new members--China Telecom, Inspur, and ZTE--are based in China, which OpenStack says demonstrates the opportunity for its technology in that country.
