LeanDNA Gets $4.5M For Analytics Software
Austin-based LeanDNA, a developer of analytics software aimed at the manufacturing industry, has raised $4.5M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Austin's Next Coast Ventures. LeanDNA said it will use the new funds for sales and marketing, product development, and its customer experience efforts. The company had previously raised seed funding from Indeed co-founder Rony Kahan. LeanDNA's software is used for monitoring inventory levels, and integrates with existing ERP tools. The funding looks to be the first official announcement of a round led by Next Coast Ventures, the new Austin venture fund led by Mike Smerklo and Tom Ball, although the firm is an investor in PHLUR, Dropoff, Onramp, Umuse, Cloverpop, and Clarity Money.
